This work belongs to the Synthetic Identities series, a visual exploration of contemporary identity and its transformation into an image.
The subject is a frontal face, suspended between presence and emotional distance. The expression is neutral, almost motionless, while the chromatic surface explodes in intense, unnatural hues. This contrast creates a visual tension between what we see and what we perceive.
The portrait does not represent a real person, but a construction: a contemporary icon of identity, where color becomes emotion and silence becomes language.
In an age dominated by images, Silent Icon 01 reflects on how identity is constructed, filtered, and rendered as a surface. It is not a psychological portrait, but a visual presence: stable, frontal, synthetic.
The work invites the viewer to question what it means to “be visible” today — and how much of what we see is authentic or simply constructed.
