This painting is a unique reinterpretation of the myth of Perseus and Medusa.
Rather than depicting a tale of fear and violence, the work explores a moment of humanity and unexpected love. In my vision, Perseus hesitates just as he is about to strike, captivated by Medusa's presence. Their eyes meet, and instead of petrifying him, she awakens compassion and connection in him.

Beside Medusa stands a mirror, a symbol of the beauty taken from her by Athena and a reminder of the instrument Perseus was supposed to use to look at her safely—now transformed into a symbol of awareness, vulnerability, and truth.

Rich acrylic textures, vivid colors, and expressive details bring the scene to life, offering a contemporary and emotional interpretation of a timeless myth.
